Offal Goods ("we", "our", or "us"), operated by Brown Bear Developments LLC, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website (offalgoods.com) or make a purchase.

2. Information We Collect

• Contact information: Name, email address, phone number
• Shipping information: Delivery address
• Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe (we do not store card details)
• Order information: Products purchased, order history

Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution
• Usage data: Pages visited, time on site, referring website, products viewed
• Advertising data: UTM parameters and campaign attribution data from ad clicks
• Cookies: Used for cart functionality, site optimization testing, and advertising attribution (see Section 6)

We use the information we collect to:

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only with the following service providers who help us operate our business:

• Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe receives your payment information, name, and email to process transactions securely.
• Meta (Facebook): Advertising measurement. We send purchase event data (order amount, product IDs) to Meta via the Meta Pixel (browser-side) and Conversions API (server-side) to measure ad effectiveness. This data is matched to your Meta profile using hashed identifiers. See Section 7 for opt-out information.
• Resend: Email delivery. We use Resend to send order confirmations, shipping updates, and promotional emails. They receive your email address and order details.
• USPS / shipping carriers: Your name and shipping address to deliver your orders.
• Vercel: Website hosting and content delivery.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. All payment transactions are processed through Stripe using industry-standard encryption. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following cookies and tracking technologies:

• Cart cookies: To remember items in your shopping cart between visits.
• UTM attribution cookies: To track which advertisement or link brought you to our site. These help us measure advertising effectiveness.
• A/B testing cookies: To show you consistent website experiences during optimization tests. These cookies contain a randomly assigned variant identifier — no personal information.
• Meta Pixel: A JavaScript snippet from Meta (Facebook) that tracks page views, product views, cart additions, and purchases on our site. This data is used to measure ad performance, build advertising audiences, and optimize ad delivery.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect your ability to use certain features of our website, including the shopping cart.

7. Meta (Facebook) Tracking and Opt-Out

We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to measure advertising performance. The Meta Pixel collects data about your browsing behavior on our site (pages viewed, products viewed, purchases made) and sends it to Meta to help us understand which ads lead to sales. The Conversions API sends similar data from our server for more accurate measurement.

The direct way to stop this is our Do Not Sell or Share control. When you opt out there, the Meta Pixel is never loaded on your visits and we do not send the server-side purchase event either. You can also limit Meta's tracking on their side:

• Adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook Ad Settings
• Use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool
• Enable "Do Not Track" in your browser settings
• Use a browser extension that blocks tracking pixels

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information (subject to legal requirements)
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — use our Do Not Sell or Share control, which takes effect immediately
• Appeal a decision if we decline your request

Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sharing and honor it automatically from your first page view. You do not need to contact us.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to Know: You may request details about the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months, including the categories of information, the sources, the business purposes, and the third parties with whom we shared it.
• Right to Delete: You may request that we delete the personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: We share browsing and purchase data with Meta for advertising purposes, which may constitute "sharing" under the CCPA. You have the right to opt out of this sharing by emailing us or using the Meta opt-out tools described in Section 7.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

Categories of personal information we collect

In the last 12 months we collected the following categories, all of it from you directly or from your device as you use the site:

We do not collect sensitive personal information as the CCPA defines it, and we do not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than those listed in Section 3. We have never sold personal information for money, and we do not knowingly collect or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

10. Other State Privacy Rights

Several other states give residents privacy rights similar to California's — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Utah, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, Delaware, New Jersey, and New Hampshire. Rather than track which rights apply to which visitor, we extend the same rights to everyone, wherever you live: access, correction, deletion, a portable copy of your data, and opt-out of targeted advertising.

Use the Do Not Sell or Share control for the advertising opt-out. For anything else, email contact@offalgoods.com. We respond within 45 days and will tell you if we need longer. We do not charge for this and we will not treat you differently for asking. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response; we will answer the appeal within 45 days and explain our reasoning in writing.

We do not use automated profiling to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about anyone.

11. How Long We Keep Your Information

• Order records — 7 years after the order. Tax and accounting rules require us to keep sales records, so we cannot delete these on request while that obligation runs.
• Email marketing lists — until you unsubscribe, then we keep a suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake.
• Customer service email — 3 years after the conversation ends.
• Website analytics and advertising data — cookie lifetimes are listed in the Cookie Notice. Data already sent to Meta is subject to Meta's own retention policy, not ours.

12. Children's Privacy

Our website is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
